The Gift of a Catholic Education

The value of Catholic Education has been acknowledged for many years.  The schools of the Archdiocese have a wonderful record of student achievement.

St. Germaine School is an outstanding example of this fine tradition.  Since the ‘60’s, St. Germaine has provided not only an academic foundation, but fostered the faith in hundreds of students. 

We know from the school closings over the past few years, however, that the cost of Catholic Education is quickly reaching a level where it may be unattainable for many families.  Just a glance at the  “That Was Then. . .” chart below will drives home this point!

Tuition Assistance Fund

The tuition assistance fund will provide “matching funds” ($1 from the fund for every $4 paid by the family).  This program will enable some families to remain at St. Germaine School, and encourage some others to seriously consider beginning their enrollment.  The program will be administered by a committee.

The Envelope Program

We are approaching the members of our parish in the hopes that they will be willing to assist families to begin or to continue to provide a Catholic School education for their children.  Families whose children have benefited from Catholic Education have a wonderful opportunity to help other families provide those benefits for their children. 

    A special collection envelope will be placed in the church support envelope package six times a year.  The envelope in this packet gives you an idea of the cost per student for a year, a month, a week, or a day.  We would like to encourage those parishioners who are able, to assist in creating a fund for tuition assistance for families in need.
