Our students will live in a world of technological marvels that we have yet to imagine!
With this in mind, St. Germaine School has made a concerted effort to provide students with a wealth of experiences with current tools.
We believe that students should be able to use technology not merely for entertainment, but also to express their understanding of the curriculum, their own ideas and their own creativity. For this reason, our computer lab and the computer stations in each of the classrooms are equipped with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications that are age appropriate for students.
Students at St. Germaine School have access to a variety of other technological equipment. A SMART board, digital cameras, and projectors make their presentations and reports come alive! Adaptive Learning software for students with special learning needs is also available.
Technology Available for Students
- Computer Lab with 30 stations, Windows XP operating system, Microsoft Office applications, all connected to the internet.
- Students begin learning MICROSOFT OFFICE word processing and presentation software skills as early as 4th grade
- Each classroom is equipped with at least two work stations. Junior High classrooms have four to six stations.
